The profound significance of dāna/offering: As is the tradition in the Dharma, these sessions are offered freely through the dāna system. It is impossible to assign a monetary value to these teachings, and dāna ensures no one is excluded due to a lack of funds, as dāna can be made in many forms.
Importantly, to engage in dāna is to join and to make yourself available to a living stream of offering and transmission that is at the heart of these practices, without which the seeds of these practices fall on fallow ground.
The monetary dāna that Rachel receives supports her in her ongoing studies with her teachers which she then offers to others to the best of her abilities, and it supports her in supporting the teachings of her teachers through dāna in turn.
Please only offer what you are able to, and do please understand the significance of offering what you are able to.
